War
Into the depths of my soul
I listen for my answer
to this heart wrenching war
slowly killing me like a cancer
out of the resonance of my thoughts
I plead to my father
for guidance from my grief
a solution for my bothers
through the mar of my heart
I pray for absolution
for strength to face my hardships
to escape from destitution
and in my heart and soul and mind
I know his answer I'll hear
for he has never left my side
though pain nor grief nor fear
