great question...we detach from a war that doesn't appear to have a direct impact on our daily lives. Yet, wars anywhere impact the global geo-political balance to say nothing of the impact on humans. What impacts one human ultimately impacts those near and far (butterfly effect). Plus, too much war coverage desensitizes us to the pain of war....perhaps our brains see the coverage as just fiction? Obviously your poem was thought provoking. Have a splendid day, Sara

I think you've got it right. There is too much coverage when we can't figure out what is true or made up. So we do see it as fiction. As long as our gas prices don't go up, who cares.

Wars are seldom fought for the reasons the general public are told they're being fought for. Thanks for sharing your thoughts through your poetry, my friend. Bill

Most times we will never see the faces of those who start wars.

no, and it is sad that only some wars are reported.. look at Africa, so much is happening there, but never reported..

I tried to google it to see how many wars are going on today worldwide. I stopped at fifty.

It seems news is just for money these days, Silent One. Facts and the real story are seldom reported accurately.
