Wanderlust
I do not know why one day in my house porch
Some bees started wandering off, Why? Why?
The first was not back and then another and another
Enough, enough, to form three groups.
Those who stayed there and guard the hive
Those who make the royal jelly to feed the queen
Those with great brains go out in search
Each vanishing, wandering in the wilderness.
Forgot what it was they were after
Having known once, now a blank drawn.
No one to go home, no home, no memory of home
Stumbling into some optional world.
The hive dies, each of them goes down
No sign left of the hive or of the bees.
