Wandering, Not Lost
“Not all those who wander are lost.” ~J.R.R. Tolkien
Wherefore wanders my soul
hither and yonder wanders my heart
all around wander my eyes
relentlessly wanders my mind…
How did this wanderer wander astray?
I, a solitary wanderer,
Why I’m made to roam and wander
from the mountains high
down to the low grassy plains
forever through eternity I meander…
How many dreams must I yet squander?
Bestowed with a benevolent heart,
Fate has given me an eternal longing for love,
My thoughts reach for the realms yonder
My eyes await a divine manifestation…
Oh, I am a disillusioned wanderer.
