Wander the Desert Alone

fell asleep and began to dream
I woke in a barren place no land or stream
I wander alone in the desert still nothing in the horizon
Surrounded by sand blowing in wind choking as if I am dying
How did I end up here struggling with incredible thirst
I see a palm tree with little water will I die or reach it first
After miles of walking I reach what I have seen
Only to find out it is an oasis just a dream within a dream
How will I make it out of this dry desert land
I pray to the heavens to lend me a hand
No answer as of yet so I continue to stumble
Through this treacherous terrain losing my composure no longer humble
Sweating profusely dehydration setting in theres no chance for a cure
With no water in sight my chances of death become pure
My ears begin ringing so loudly I can't hear myself think
Wait it's my alarm Im safe in my home again with plenty to drink

"Wait it's my alarm!!!" :) I am smiling. You never know what will happen- when you dream. You could be in a desert drying up like a prune with nothing to drink. This is cute, clever and creative. :) Brandy
