Walls Around My Heart

The walls around my heart was built; Warmly covered with a cosy quilt. But the bitter cold is seeping through; Whatever shall I do? The walls have started to crack; The bricks are falling down in a pack! They’re falling, more and more; This is bad, opened the love store! I thought my heart was tucked away safe; But now feelings are washing over it, wave by wave. I have been hurt before; Don’t want to be hurt no more! The sore aching pain; With nothing to ever gain! They say that they love you; And promise that their love was never so true. But in the bitter end, Away with you, go, they send! Leaving you with a heart so broken; Without a single return token!
