Wall of Protection

You can play tough and hard
Act like you don’t care at all
But I know and see your heart
That wall of protection you built, it no longer exist
I marched around it
I nurtured and caressed it
I gave it lots of tender, loving, care
I gave it what it needed most
So act as tough as you want
But you, my love, have a big heart
I sounded the trumpet
I watched the wall tumble
That wall of protection you built, it no longer exist
You can love
Yes, love
Love without any fear at all
The old you is no more
That tough, hard, person is gone
You now have a heart of love
That wall of protection you built...came a tumbling down
… a tumbling down
