Wall

I’m building a wall around this heart of mine In order to keep everyone out. I’m making it of stone and brick, Making it three feet thick. Got to stay on my feet this time. Please don’t let me fall in love, And keep me away from them all. I know I don’t need to fall, Flat upon my face once again. I've just got to run away, From all of this pain, For I have nothing to gain. Men just hurt me Over and over again. They step all over this heart of mine And leave it in such a bind. This is what I have to do To keep them all out Keep them from hurting me Just get them to let me be.

Its a beautiful poem but I must say that if we do not play the game then we will never get to knw the sadness of failure but then again you will never know the joy of winning either

Expressive but very depressive thoughts at the same time, Jacqueline
