Walking in the Garden

I took a walk in the garden with God this morning
as the phrases to the old hymn washed over
my soul "And he walks with me and he talks with
me and he tells me I am his own"
Those beautiful words not only calm my soul,
create peace in my heart, but they cause goose
bumps to rise up on my skin
Simple words written so many years ago
reinforce my faith and remind me that
I am never alone in my life's journey
and "the joy we share as we tarry there,
none other has ever known."
