Walking East To Freedom

I had spent two years behind a desk, Working for good money like the rest, No rest for me in my king sized bed, Happiness was always one step ahead, My conscious pulled, my person split, A tug of war, to stay or to quit? Car gone nothing to drive, But feeling free not deprived, Trusting him signing my resignation, Pack on my back, feet on top of a nation, Heading east feeling so well, Till the highway, i stood facing my hell, Feelings of sorrow, dis pare, and shame, Regret for leaving battling physical pain, Nothing behind me the way i came, I prayed for strength, that the trip not be in vein, As i continued my pace quickened, To His voice i began to listen, Tears of joy as i reached the trail, Feeling so strong, not weak or frail, A day of rest and then i was on my way, This time it seamed like a brighter day, The truth He spoke, i began to find, With food and shelter i felt satisfied, Happiness came in a sleeping bag bed, And a small tent in which to lay my head, Free from my shackles and chains, Walking with Him finding love truly reins, Pure JOY in the simple things, In This Way I Am Free Thankyou Jesus
