Walking Away

There was never any doubt;
I'm done reaching out;
Tired of the cold shrug of indifference.
Give and you shall receive.
What?
A cold slap;
Hearing the constant flap.
Of all the excuses I've heard before;
Showing I was never meant for more;
Just show me to the door;
Just another bothersome sore.
But I will not change the nature of me;
Instead I just set it all free;
What was never meant to be.
Nothing left to hear or say,
Time has come to walk away.

I'd hoped it was fiction Carl, it must be so difficult to remain in a relationship that has turned toxic. So glad to see a PM star by your name, if you need any help in adding music, pics etc do let me know:-) hugs jan x

Hello Carl Fraser, I also hope this is fiction. If not take a breathe, then try to talk again. Have a nice day my friend.

Sometimes it's best to walk when your words aren't heard anymore
