Walking Away
There was never any doubt;
I'm done reaching out;
Tired of the cold shrug of indifference.
Give and you shall receive.
What?
A cold slap;
Hearing the constant flap.
Of all the excuses I've heard before;
Showing I was never meant for more;
Just show me to the door;
Just another bothersome sore.
But I will not change the nature of me;
Instead I just set it all free;
What was never meant to be.
Nothing left to hear or say,
Time has come to walk away.
