Walking At Night
WALKING AT NIGHT
Moon
Black sky
Dissonant
On the cracked sidewalk
Old neighborhood
House tops
Like pyramids and
Trees meet above the street
Car passing
How the oily street shines
Streaks__________________
FLASHES!
Yellow to the eye
Downtown sounds
Seems unpopulated
A distant crowd dodging horns
Lonely
Walking along
No high
No low
The hidden thousands all on eye level
Just my head existing
So examine the ground -
Vomit seeping down the cracks
Rotten hot dog
Rotten city
A change of thought
Music?
Yes!
Of a sort
A Mahler horn
Sibelius oboe
Strings in tremolo
Hair stirs to fine threads
Arms swinging
Feet tapping the sidewalk
Random thoughts
Composing
Galaxies
Fear!
Love
Hate
Happiness
Despondent?
No!
HAPPY!
Freedom
Walking
