Walk With Me
I am tired, but will walk a while
I think that I will walk a mile
The leafy lane with hedges new
Birds singing there high in the blue
Of gravel sounds ringing gruff
It’s fun to kick and more to scuff
The style with its twisted wood
Beckons me as it only could
I raise my feelings jumping high
The meadow has caught my eye
Flowers that say hello to me
Daisies laugh the buttercups sigh
The grass a blanket where I could lie
I now am floating as a Honey bee
The meadow dips, the stream I see
It holds the water there for me
Meandering through village and farms
For me though it just drifts along
Holding,Oh! Soft summer’s song
There I wander for time stands still
I'll sit here a while to heal my ills
Breeze caressing my thoughts today
Warm and soft I hope they stay
I need you there to make me well
In my mind where I dwell
I am now refreshed somehow
I have returned to the now
My thoughts did wander so
