Walk the Snow

There have been so many white days
since you threatened me

 Lassie go...just go

silenced me
muzzled my voice
lasoed my creativity
and yours

Where does it go
the muse of love
when love captures the essential
beat and stops the drum

the snow falls like Pompeii ash
Smothers out the voice
the cries
  those who chose to shelter
flee children...
do not remain and try to keep the fire burning
All is lost
in resistance to change
the flower that dies
blooms again
after the frost...melts
spring

Your free verse has brought out so many feelings but especially the feelings that I wish I had written this one. BRAVO Ingrid. Wow!
