Walk Off Home Run

To a relief pitcher, this is infuriating. With his team leading, it is the ninth inning. Inability to hold the lead can be humiliating. With a two run lead, and two runners on base, the batter hits the ball right out of the place. The pitcher was unable to get the third out. With the game lost, it’s a long walk to the dugout. This can ruin a relief pitcher’s night without a doubt.

Ah, yes, the infamous home run...when it's against the pitcher it can be infuriating like you stated so eloquently! But for the team that got the home run, that is so very awesome...a great win! I really enjoyed this baseball write, especially since I too love baseball...the Reds are my team, i think I had told you that before though! What team do you follow? Anyway, this is a fine poem, one of great success! Excellent Work!!

Chipper Jones victimized Jonathan Papelbon earlier tonight. The Braves came back in the ninth inning and beat the Phillies 8-7 after being behind 7-1.
