Walk Forward
Walk Forward
If I travel on ahead too soon, pause for a while and consider my going
But stop not, nor fall into the time and distance between us.
Gather yourself; draw in all of me that was, bind your wounds and wrap your heart with memories
They will be your salve and balm; your recovery, your power.
For somehow, you must now step forward. Day by day — Week by week
Remember all that you taught me —strength, courage and love
But don’t let the past pull you back. Linger not on our last day.
Use your love to comfort. Your hands to help
And walk forward
Walk forward and you will find me.
For we are of the same atom. The same cells —The same fibre
We can never be split. Forever we’ll be joined in heart and soul and mind.
Walk forward
Walk forward and one day, you will find me.
