Waiting To Hear Your Voice

I've been on this phone
For over an hour
Waiting to hear your voice.

To you
I'm just a blinking light
On your phone.

But I'm a person
A living, breathing 
Human Being.

So, if you're tired
And annoyed
Please remember
One thing.

I had better plans for today
Than spending it on the phone
Waiting to hear your voice.
