Waiting To Die

I have been standing in an empty space,
For an undetermined amount of time,
Hopelessly trying to come face-to-face
With the hidden culprit behind the crime.
Desperate to put an end to my pain,
I search far and wide, with my chest exposed
And my mind completely going insane,
For the red hand that has my heart enclosed.
I have to find this necessary piece,
Before the date of my expiration,
Causing my very existence to cease;
Hellbound to an early reservation.
So, as the time continues to pass by,
I guess I will just keep waiting to die.
