Waiting On September

Still bearing the heat Of summer's final ember, At my shaded window seat ... Waiting on September No sign as of yet ... The leaves, pretty green, Where embers had not met To set ablaze the scene But, gold will come Then orange, then red, On marigold and mum Along my flower bed Then to the treetops As they surrender, To temperature's drops ... Waiting on September.

Waiting September with its colorful parade. As weather cools we enjoy that of Nature's change. Beautiful poem and a fav for me. God bless you my friend.
