Waiting For Your Call

There has been many sunny days;
Many joys my heart has known.
Now I’m stuck in long nights,
As I try to sleep alone.

Everything you used to say,
Was true and makes me cry.
You’d say, “You’ll never find a love,
Who’s been half so true as I! ”

The last photograph we took,
 Still hangs along the hall.
And when I want to kiss your lips,
I have to kiss the picture on the wall.

How I miss you dearly,
And I suffer many nights of grief.
I’m waiting for your call,
‘Tis my saddened heart’s relief.

"I think this poem is really heartbreaking for somebody who has lost someone they love like a bf/gf or a husband/wife or somebody they care about who is not there."
