Waiting For You

I'm staring, focused on the clock
Tick tock tick tock
I wonder when
I'll wait till then

I know you're there, you never left
Yet, I'm bereft
Misery waits
At lonesome's gates

The seconds, minutes, hours elapse
Until, perhaps,
I hear your voice
And thus rejoice
