Waiting For I Love You
Is there a reason why I'm here?
Is it to cry a thousand tears?
He doesn't love me
this I know,
But my love for him will always grow.
And during the Winter snow,
My love for him will still show.
In the hot summer nights,
it will be a fight,
to keep my tears from flowing all night.
And when a star falls out of sight,
I will still say,
I wish I may,
I wish with all my might,
to have him fall in love with me tonight.
I begged and pleded with my heart,
Not to let this love for him start.
I should have been smart,
I should have stayed away.
Now I'm older and my hair has turned a dull gray.
I still stand by the bay,
Waiting for him to say,
I love you
And in your loving arms
Is where I will forever stay.
