Waiting

I spend my life waiting
For love to come my way
I just sit here waiting
Every single day
I don't think it will find me
Not if I'm sitting here
But I've been waiting so long
And now love makes me fear
What if I don't find it?
And I grow old all alone?
Just sitting here waiting
A lonely bag of bones
A spinster and her cat
No children and no love
Just waiting for the day
To go down below or up above
I think that I'll stop waiting
For love to come knocking on my door
I'm going out to find it
So I won't be lonely anymore
