Waiting
A perfect pastel pink
my world
fluid whisper warm melodic
throbbing hypnotic beats until
I sleep in darkness wrapped then
wake in tumult tossed
born
forever now to wait in
impatient anticipation wanting to be
what I am not and forgetting
who I am yet still pursuing the rabbit
while tripping on expectations
looking down for cracks in the sidewalk
while perfect days and sunsets are missed
waiting for the dawn ...
