Waiting

Knarled and broken
Sounds escaped long ago
And echoed from wall to wall
A triumphant beating of silent drums
The symphony is over the conductor
Has left his post so long ago
Like the beating of a heart whose
Last vessel has burst
And yet how loud the quiet is
A subliminal force felt eerily
In my deepest sacred haven
I yearn for any movement
Any sign of life
But I never imagined you
Could be the master of this charade

Hi Kelli, the emotions flow through this piece and they bring out the emotions of the reader. Another excellent write Kelli. Your words paint such a sad canvas and yet by the end of the piece hope shines. We can all take something different out of each poetic piece we read. This piece is deserving of a top rating so i send you a seven....Vlad.
