Waiting

Waiting.
Waiting for the alarm,
Drawing every ounce of warmth,
In the final few minutes of rest.

Waiting.
Waiting for my toast,
Anticipating the warm tasty food,
To satisfy my hunger.

Waiting.
Waiting for the train,
Thinking about my destination,
However mundane.

Waiting.
Waiting for my love,
To come back home to me,
To hold me in his arms.

Waiting.

I have never been very good at waiting, I am impatient by nature, and still my greatest gifts have come when I was required to wait. Nice poem!
