Wait Not For Me

There I go, once again;
it shouldn't be far ...
My dear ones know how
I yearn always to stay.
Life has a habit of taking away.

Cycles of cycles, we come and we go,
bloodlines eternal, corrupt, this is so.
Obsolete always no matter the pain,
with which we strive fiercely to gouge in our mark.

Is it anything bar arrogance to presume,
that with one life I can change the result,
of time at the end of infinity's plot?

I go for a time; with God's will, I'll return.
I'll run with the fire that shall ever burn.

Please never forget, but wait not for me.
