Vortex

Oh, how we change.
	              Not only year to year
		        Or month to month
		            Or day to day

	              Or even minute to minute:
	                 But second to second.

		           Churning change.
	               Rise and fall of passions
	               Ebb and flow of energies,
                   Thoughts blooming and withering:
		         Watered and drowned
                           By the whirlpool that's
                      Forever whirling and swirling
                           And twirling around
		         Inside that person we call
		                      “You”

You: as if you were one steady “you.”
		              Kind of a silly word
	                      If you think about it.
