Voices From the Planets
The day is passing
rapidly
moons
continue to circle
the planets
On our small orb
we dare to raise
our own personal flags
in the face of eternity
Let the stars continue to
shine
We needn't worry
We've survived so
far
and with any luck
we'll continue to do so
Comets pass by leaving
trails of ice and
fire in the depths of space
Voices in the distant galaxies
are caught by our
electronic devices
the sounds of deep space
reverberate in our own
very cosmic souls
