Voices

Whisper, whisper,whisper.
So many voices,
calmly at first
and then they begin to get louder and louder…

Voices here.
Voices there.
Voices,voices everywhere!
Where is the mute button?

Where are the two voices I want to hear above them all?
Where are the voices that matter most to me?
The voices that always set me free?
They are my voice and that of my Heavenly Father above.

No matter how desperate and low I feel I know He’s here.
So when will I be able to hear Him?
Please, help me fade out these other voices and turn yours up.
I could sure use you right now with all these other-voices.
