Voice of the Storm

Voice Of The Storm

The weather has many faces
and some are more violent
than others, the only form
of weather that can speak

Is the Thunderstorm, it vents
it's anger on us wherever we
are and has a destructive force
that can start as tiny clouds

That blossom into a flower
of evil, the Thunderstorm
with it's electrifying personality
can send a lethal bolt of lightning

Down on us, speaking as a roar
of thunder sending a vocal message
to us all while flexing it's muscles
creating havoc and widespread

Damage in it's wake, or is it really
the destructive and evil thoughts of
mankind being thrown back on us
for the terrible events that have taken

Place, it may be God's way of
punnishing us for what we have done.
Then when all is said and done
We are blessed with a beautiful rainbow.

John, the faces of the weather, and the sound of it all. I don't like to see it as God's punishment. I have other perceptions about the destruction the world goes through. I call it balance. I like your poem very much. I think mother nature has many faces, and evil is one of them. Hope to see you post more. ~SKAT~

Indeed.. here in S/Africa as in Oz we have electric storms with window shaking thunder after humidity has reached it's limit. A wonderful poem, depicting nature at it's most violent, and then.. your last line was so beautiful.. rainbows and blessings :)
