Vodka and Love Songs

I've got to let go, so I'm hoping my pen can hold this verse I gave you somewhere to cry and now my shoulders hurt I slayed the dragon to save you, just for you to stab me in the heart From now on it's nothing but Vodka and love songs until I'm over her a glass of vodka to cope with the tears because I know there's more to come my heart is aching, but there's more to deal with before It's numb when I think of you it brings a crushing pain to my stomach Vodka doing damage to my liver, but it's bringing my thoughts comfort I wasn't enough for you, but I want you to be happy so I hope he is it hurts to think of you with another, but I won't reveal your secrets everything you told me will remain private the way it should be I just wish I didn't slay the dragon to save a girl who didn't love me I know I'm too good for you and I deserve better I just hate that I out overtime in for you to find out you didn't want us to work together one day you'll realise I was right for you all along and it will be too late by then I'll have a new girl with a fresh pen helping me to write a new page until then the broken prince needs to find a way to soldier through ironic how the girl you give your heart to can actually leave a hole in you this isn't just the same old song, this is the oldest tune it's time for my heart to turn to ice as I listen to love songs and drink vodka in the coldest room I've got to move on, so I'm glad my pen could hold this verse I had a warm heart but I was forced to write the coldest words I slayed the dragon to save you, just for you to stab me in the heart I'm going to drink vodka and listen to love songs until I'm over her
