I wrote this song to raise funds for a charity. George Holmes is singing and the concertina is played by Stephen Ferneyhough. It can be listened to at:

Rainbows are scattered on my blank walls Patterns appear where the light splits and falls They stream across the ceiling They stretch along the floor Echoes of beauty for my mind to store. Visions of hope, visions of hope, As I’m caught once more by visions of hope. Visions of hope, visions of hope, As I’m caught once more by visions of hope. I stop what I’m doing to take in the sight My blues disappear like dawn ends the night I start to believe and now I can cope As I’m caught once more by visions of hope. Visions of hope, visions of hope, As I’m caught once more by visions of hope. Visions of hope, visions of hope, As I’m caught once more by visions of hope. The winter sun’s rays shine through crystal glass Send colourful sprays the blank walls to mask. Like sweet morning dreams they’ll soon fly away But feelings they leave will brighten my day. Visions of hope, visions of hope, As I’m caught once more by visions of hope. Visions of hope, visions of hope, As I’m caught once more by visions of hope. Magical rainbows arch through the air, Colour my mood and free me from cares, By flashes of light my mind’s been caressed, In my rainbow room I’ve been truly blessed. Visions of hope, visions of hope, As I’m caught once more by visions of hope. Visions of hope, visions of hope, As I’m caught once more by visions of hope. Visions of hope, visions of hope, As I’m caught once more by visions of hope. Visions of hope, visions of hope, As I’m caught once more by visions of hope.

Delightful, Mavis. Beautiful lyrics....lilting and sweet. :) Would that those visions you've created could stay with us. Thank you for your comment on my poem about my mother. I've written a response regarding your suggested changes. It would disrupt the iambic meter I'm using, but I see your point and I've tried to substitute a different word to make it read better. Thanks for the input. :) Hugs
