Visions In My Rearview Mirror
Driving ninety miles per hour
down the freeway know as life;
visions up ahead seem foggy,
clouded future filled with strife.
Winding turns and blinding corners
knowing not what lies ahead;
road is filled with many hazards,
forging on we’re faced with dread.
Peering in my rearview mirror
road was straighter, fewer turns;
journey then was much more certain
moving on with few concerns.
Visions in my rearview mirror
seemingly the view now clear;
missing are those simple times,
those certain days of yesteryear.
