VISIONS
Last night you came into my dreams again. I really thought all that was in the past, But there you were rekindling all the pain Just when I felt that I’d moved on at last. You stood with arms outstretched inviting me To come into the warmth of your embrace; That haven where you knew I longed to be. You had that special smile upon your face And I was helpless as I’d always been, To turn around and walk away from you. I reached out but you faded from the scene And taunting me his face came into view. I’d battled through the blackness into light But then you came into my dreams last night
