Virtue

They proclaim virtue
They have found The Truth
No more fear of death
Their belief is absolute

Nothing could change their mind
Conflicting evidence is fake
“It's the devil”
They say confidently; a pious mistake

The Truth claim is made with minimal knowledge
All the while acting wise
They can't see the contradiction
They're exactly like those who they despise

Virtue is the seeking of truth
With no predetermined belief in mind
Virtue is not seeking confirmation
The truth is indifferent to you and I

The road to virtue is lonely
The path is covered with weeds and vines
Ironically it has been said the road is narrow and few will find it
But it will be the most beautiful journey of your life
