Virgin of the Mountain Morning Symphony
The brisk morning air touched my skin
as if a million geese were sent scurrying to take flight
The wind from the mountain had a chill worthy of Eskimos and polar bears
I could see the ice on top as it shined like silver lining the slopes
creating a great toboggan pulled tightly down around it's head
The trees a chorus line dancing to the winds of winter
A great oak stood before the hills
a conductor of this orchestra moving back and forth
leading this amazing symphony of nature
The wondrous majesty spread across the stage intense with emotion
whispering with silence
nurturing the souls of all who are blessed to behold this shivering scene of the morning
It is truly beautiful
I hear music so enchanting and warm as to melt this paradise
A consummation of my virgin ears
Take me now for I shall be your audience and show you my gratitude
