Violets In My Salad
Glistening like a violet velvet gown,
the richest shade of purple ever spun.
your regality requires a crown,
beaming gold like a smile splash of sun.
In the midst of a lush jungle backdrop,
as rejuvenating as fresh spring rain
elegance rests upon an emerald crop,
with enchantments throbbing like a warm vein.
Spotlight of vivacious significance,
your soft form is fashioned like pouty lips.
I savor your subtle romance fragrance
as my enamored mouth slowly unzips
to taste a bouquet of love's tenderness
with a delicate brush of tongue caress.

Mostly written last summer, inspired by a salad picked fresh from our garden.
