Violet Dream

Violet Dream

As time goes by the hours fly.
On wings, that’s made of days and months.
I slumber in my world of dreams.
my darling draped in black and gold,

Surrounds of violets un-for-told,
Her smile so bright, my dream unfold.
I watch in awe with anxious fear,
Afraid such beauty disappear

Yet deep within her eyes doth say
She yearns the love, her beau of speak.
This dream is true, for it is you,
A burning desire, a hearts on fire

The violet orchids scent her space.
No one else her presence grace.
Through heavens windows, angels watch,
They drop a tear, emotions touched

Violet, a color of passion! A beautifully expressed and well-written poem Michael. I love the rhythm and imagery of your poem. A beautiful romantic write that I truly enjoyed this afternoon! :)
