Violent Times

(Apologies for our inhumanity to man)

Terrible news
Terrified people;
World gone mad


Ugly inhumanity
Who is to blame?
Hatred permutates


Fanatics strike
Mad men and mayhem;
Mangled bodies


Why this madness?
Killings for God;
Slaughter of masses


Red blood stains
Here and there;
Barbaric acts unveil


Bloody revolution
50 shades of murder;
Insanity morphs


Man is violent
Creature of shame;
Vivid hallucinations


Naturally
We see what we see;
Because we insist


Apologies for
Our inhuman acts;
Of violence


No one is unblemished
All fruits turn rotten;
Because we are one


Our terror
Becomes our horror;
Tainted by bad blood


God save us
From our petty pride;
Give us rest and peace


Religion is 
The worst excuse;
Killing solves nothing


The karmic toll
Increases as we go;
We reap what we sow


May we find grace
To live and let live;
Despite our ways
