Vincents Vampire

Van Gogh had rescued a starving vampire Why was he starving I hear you enquire The answer I think will instil disbelief When I say that vampire had no pointy teeth The vampire became Vincent’s most willing aide Although of course he only worked in the shade One night he crept from the tomb where he hid Grabbed a cold beer and he pulled back the lid Hey Vince, do you fancy a cool pint of beer Van Gogh shook his head… ‘No fangs, I’ve got one ear.’

Had to look that up. Discovered that husband ‘Fang’ was fictional and, I quote, ‘so was her hair and most of her face.’ Nice people: journalists… not!

Thanks Milt. There’s an ancient joke about someone offering Van Gogh a cigarette, to which he replies, ‘No thanks, I’ve got one ear.’ I just played around with it. Terry
