Vignette-Action Painting

A pollock 'broke the ice'
Making abstract look so nice,
New York became 'Centre du monde'
As avant-garde crossed the 'pond'-
A style of which I'm very fond !

Tribute to Jackson Pollock 1912-56 creator of 'drip' 'flick' and 'stick'

Pollock was pretty cool... this is a neat vignette, well rhymed with a pleasing cadence. Well done Brian! Best wishes, Keith

Wow, Brian, what an amazing drip painting!!! You just blow me away with your versitility - brilliant!!! I love the abstract still life, too - all of them are beautiful. I can barely draw a stick man. :) Love, and respect, Kristin

I have checked out your site, Brian, and I'm so impressed with your drip painting, but also the others. I put that sight on my favorites...so I will keep checking it from time to time. You are a true artist in many areas of your life. Bet you have a wealth of beautiful pieces in your home. Thank you for sharing a bit of them with us. ~ Carrie

Wonderful tribute, and I'm so glad you posted your blog URL! Now I won't have to bug you with so many questions! Great site, and you're so talented! You've given me so much inspiration here at PS! Thank you from the heart! I have a blog at blogspot too ( sparksfireplace.blogspot.com ) but right now all I have there is a map catalog I had to do for a class. Soon I hope to change it to a more creative site. ~Juliane

Just looked at your site..you have more talent in you litte finger......you know how the saying goes. I'll keep checking on that site. I'm not a great fan of abstract..like yours better than Pollocks. :) this is a nice tributeto the "dripper" as I've heard him called.BG
