I just sat down at my new desk
In my rented room
Looking lakeside from my window

I see multi-hued mountains
       verdant
Across volcanic lake Atitlan blue

Hillside farms nestled
Small pueblos planted beside
                 Glowing

Happiness of people established
Simple lives growing family
Flags gracefully flutter colors

From my balcony gallery viewed
Guetamala Happiness
My heart sails a wonderous lift

                                   Tranquility
Peaceful breath of mountain face
Softly weaving water

Blessed to write
of splendiferous landscape, pressing 
out my door
