Victory Will Be Mine

I put my soul and heart into everything I write with my pen
I won't stop until I rhyme with every word and they print my name in the dictionary on every page
I rhymed my way out of the maze
As long as I have a pen, victory will be mine my friend

Excuse my confidence and pardon my cockiness
But as long as I have my pen, there's nothing you can stop me with
Before you challenge me, please stop to think
Because I'll win the battle with a simple drop of ink

Poetry got me to put the blade down and stop self-harming
I hold the pen close, move it slowly, and the pad finds me charming
Pick your weapon of choice, I'll pick my pen and you'll leave the bloodiest
It was the only thing I had during the ugliness

We built a relationship and every day we have a slow dance
If you want to split us up, you have no chance
My head, heart and pen are one, coming up with my new rhymes and next flow
Poetry saved my life, I feel protected by the pen so I can't let go

I put my soul and heart into everything I write with my pen
I won't stop until I rhyme with every word and they print my name in the dictionary on every page
I rhymed my way out of the maze
As long as I have a pen, victory will be mine my friend

I'm glad the pen saved your life too, the pen and pad are the most powerful tools. I'm glad you made it through your bad spot too
