Victorian Ways

I wonder if now to her I should yell Though she is so very far away But I have a little secret to tell Undergarments she left here today. Now you might think this a laughing matter Though her fiancé I’m sure would not And nothing would make this handsome lad gladder Then to her wedding to put it a stop. But she is betrothed now to another A man to which she sings no praise A union arranged by her father and mother God I hate these Victorian ways. Entry in Untold Secrets Contest. Did not place

Hi Joe! You did an excellent job on both pieces!! I did read the first poem, and almost soup-mailed you to alert you to the contest rules....but wasn't sure if you had planned to enter it...glad you caught the mistaken poem form and did it both ways!! They are both terrific poems...so glad to have you on board the Soup train!!! Great work..I love the humor of this one!! :)
