Victoria - the Park of Local Nature
One of my favorite pastimes I have
having a leisurely stroll in my Victoria Park
especially like today, it's so lovely and sunny
wondering if it was ever like this in the ark
Just sitting by the side of the pond
full of ducks, birds, and many a swan
so great seeing nature at its height
we'll dread the day when it's all gone
Looking up into the deep blue sky
so clear over the white clouds so still
amidst folk walking their dogs along
beside the water edge like a normal drill
Here we see God's wonderful creation
everything around has the mark of His hand
His glory is seen in the post clock nearby
'now is the day of salvation' there does stand
These evangelistic words there for all to see
pray many read them to follow and obey
God is there in word and in nature
there's no excuse but walk in His day
(My favorite walks in Victoria Park nearby which is such a pleasurable pastime. This park is in the Partick area of Glasgow, Scotland.)
