Victim 3

Being abandoned on a cross
Is not the painful part
The only wound is the broken heart
One suffers so for love
Yet who stand in dumb silence
Will not bleat aloud
To still an ignorant crowd
Forgiveness must not ever speak
For truth can wound the pride
That self as surrendered for
And rob forgiveness of its memory.

It is never victims that make the noise
But the loud rabble
Who wrong and hurt the soul
It is only silence left that's wise
And O its fire is cold
Without a smile there is no door
Without a word
No recognition. I am brave still
Loving where I find most ill
And knowing I have lost the will
To open the enemy's door
