Vibrant in fading light

Body ages but spirit remains young Animating vibrance of childhood years Now free from desires and also from fears We’ve become the sage about whom we sung We do admit we are somewhat senile Forgetfulness having become the norm Yet with the lamp of love lit, heart is warm Our soul stands erect, walking life’s last mile Our attitude is embrace and release By day and night we sing for God an ode Thoughts have receded, heart is our abode We now flow through life with nonchalant ease
