Vibrant Callings

Surrounded by light emerald green trees
Wet leaves are shining in the spring rain
Like a bright scarf wrapped around the yard
Even on this dismal day, there is lovely color
I am still, calmed by the quiet woods nearby
With the budding emerald trees beneath gray skies
Like hope that resides below layers of troubles
Waiting to be seen even in those difficult times
Positive thoughts, interests, special wishes
Ready to bloom and be softly woven into life
Vibrant callings do wait, when life feels dormant

I agree w/Peter, your pastoral imagery infuses your poems w/such life and vitality, Heidi. Great title as well. Wonderful poem, dear. Love and smiles to you.
