Vessel of the Lord
Be a vessel of holiness*, overcoming sinfulness
As a living saint imparted with the Savior's righteousness.
Be a vessel of virtues, radiating godly honor
As a learning student acknowledging the Holy Book's tenor.
Be a vessel of good works, triumphing in Christ's victory
As a laboring steward, persevering for His glory.
Be a vessel of courage, obeying the supreme King and Lord
As a leading soldier, vanquishing evil through the Spirit's sword
Be a vessel of the truth, bearing the Redeemer Jesus' light
As a loving soulwinner sharing the Gospel with delight.
*2Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
